Static electricity can cause damage to electronic circuits and components.The severity of the damage will depend on the sensitivity of the components. In the worst instance, the most sensitive components can be ruined. Static electricity and its effects, can be avoided if and antistatic material is used for the sleeves on the handles. The electrical resistance of the sleeves is between 105 and 109 Ohms and allows a controlled discharging of the tool as requested by the relevant standards.
